The Legacy of Giving (TLoG)

Q1. What is TLoG?

A. TLoG is an Australian start-up business offering our members exclusive access to a members-only area, providing significant savings of 16% - 18% on groceries purchased using our "Savings Vouchers".

Q2. Why was TLoG created?

A. Globally, cost-of-living pressures and inflation are providing the perfect storm leading to human suffering. Many Australians have identified grocery affordability as of major concern.  The Australian Government and Opposition are offering little to no solutions to the crisis of grocery affordability.

It is our opinion, grocery affordability is the most significant cost-of-living pressure. While Housing, Utilities, Health, Medicare, and Education are causing significant stress for many Australians, they are also receiving government funding at rates much higher than grocery affordability. Considering the cost of groceries and food affects EVERY Australian, and without food, we WILL die, more needs to be done to address grocery affordability.

TLoG priority is to provide savings on groceries to any and all Australians who wish to participate in our program. Like any good democracy, you have the choice to participate or not.

Q3. How does TLoG program work?

A. Step 1 - Apply for membership at TLoG website, which is FREE to join. Every Australian choosing to become a member is entitled to one membership only.

    Step 2 - TLoG verifies your membership application. Once accepted you are provided with a Unique Membership Identification Number (UMIN).

    Step 3 - Using your UMIN, you may access the member-only area within TLoG website to purchase an available TLoG Savings Voucher.

    Step 4 - The membership fee will be charged at the time of purchase to each TLoG Savings Voucher.

    Step 5 - A digital Savings Voucher will be sent to your email address and can be used at the relevant store the Savings Voucher has been issued at.

    Step 6 - Shop normally. When paying for your groceries, use your digital Savings Voucher to pay for all or part of your total grocery spend.

    Step 7 - The used digital Savings Voucher is debited the partial payment or becomes void once the full digital Savings Voucher has been redeemed.

Q4. What are the core values at TLoG?

A vital aspect of forming new relationships is building trust. Trust is first given mutually to offer a sign of commitment. It is what we do with this trust that fosters true, deep, and meaningful relationships. Trust is what TLoG aspires to achieve.

Q5. What is TLoG "guaranteed savings".

A. TLoG guarantees, you will save, or you will not pay! This is achieved by the applicable membership fee being applied to each Savings Voucher at the point of sale. Remember, as our member, you are our first and most important priority. You save before we get paid.

Q6. How many membership levels exist?

A. Three (3). Gold ($20 per Savings Voucher), Silver ($10 per Savings Voucher), and Bronze ($1 per Savings Voucher).

Q7. What does membership cost?

A. Membership is FREE to join.

Gold membership = $20 per month charged to the purchase of each Gold Savings Voucher.

Silver membership = $10 per month charged to the purchase of each Silver Savings Voucher.

Bronze = $1 per month charged to the purchase of each Bronze Savings Voucher.

Q8. Why is the membership fee applied to the purchase of each single Savings Voucher?

A. Your savings are positively offset against the small membership fee, meaning you save more than you pay. The membership fee is required to ensure financial transparency and fiscal competency. In turn, this will ensure TLoG's future success, resulting in further savings for our members.

Q9. Why should I register for membership with TLoG?

A. Only registered members of TLoG will be entitled to access a Savings Voucher. Membership is FREE to register and will only be applied once you have successfully secured a Savings Voucher. Memberships may be limited due to supply and demand.

Q10. How many memberships can I have?

A. One only. Multiple membership are not permitted. Anyone found to hold more than one membership or attempting to secure more than one membership, may have their membership privileges suspended and/or revoked, and at the discretion of TLoG.

This is done to ensure each member has the same opportunity to secure a Savings Voucher each month.

Q11. Can I be a member in more than one membership level?

A. Yes. At the time of registration, every member allocation has the choice to join as a Gold, Silver, or Bronze member, or join any combination of these three (3) levels.

To note, securing of at least one Savings Voucher per calendar month does not extend to multiple membership levels.

Q12. Does TLoG have a lock in membership?

A. No. You are welcome to maintain TLoG membership at your own discretion.

Q13. Can I cancel my membership?

A. Yes. You can cancel your membership whenever you would like. Prior to deciding to cancel your membership, we encourage you to consider the limited availability of Savings Vouchers and the savings you may miss out on. It costs nothing to remain a member, but past membership does not guarantee future membership.

Q14. Am I required to make a regular Savings Voucher purchase to maintain my membership?

A. No. You have the right to choose what you buy and when you buy. Depending on Savings Voucher availability.  

Savings Voucher

Q15. What is a "Savings Voucher"?

A. A "Savings Voucher" is TLoG's version of a gift card, which provides real money savings to our members.

Q16. Does a Savings Voucher expire?

A. No, there is no expiry date. A Savings Voucher is redeemable for the amount of issue and becomes void after the total spend has reached the amount of issue.

Q17. Do I need a membership for TLoG to buy a Savings Voucher?

A. Yes. A valid UMIN is required to gain access to the member-only area, which is where all available Savings Vouchers are purchased.

Q18. What are the costs and savings of a Saving Voucher?

A. The cost of a Savings Voucher are dependent on the chosen level of your  membership.

Gold membership. $400 + $20 membership fee totaling $420. The value of the Savings Voucher is $500. This represents a $80 saving or 16% saving to the member. The $80 membership savings is absorbed by TLoG.

Silver membership. $200 + $10 membership fee totaling $210. The value of the Savings Voucher is $250. This represents a $40 saving or 16% saving to the member. The $40 membership savings is absorbed by TLoG.

Bronze membership. $40 + $1 membership fee totaling $41. The value of the Savings Voucher is $50. This represents a $9 saving or 18% saving to the member. The $9 membership saving is absorbed by TLoG.

Q19. Where can a Savings Voucher be used?

A. A Savings Voucher is issued by TLoG to be used at one particular grocery store or everyday needs retailer. The particular grocery or everyday needs retailer is determined by you as our member when purchasing the Savings Voucher.

Q20. What grocery store or everyday needs retailer can the Savings Vouchers be used at?

A. TLoG is committed to serving our members best interests as our main priority. As such, TLoG is willing to deal with ALL grocery or everyday needs retailers within Australia.

Q21. Can a Savings Voucher be used at different grocery stores or everyday needs retailers?

A. No. While all best efforts are given to our members having choice in where they shop, Savings Vouchers will be restricted to the grocery or everyday needs retailer where they were issued for. The choice of which grocery or everyday needs retailer is still determined by our members when buying Savings Vouchers and dependent on availability.

To note, a Savings Voucher may be used partially or to it's full value in a single transaction. Should a member decide to use their Savings Voucher at different grocery or everyday needs retailers, members can, provided the grocery or everyday needs retailer is part of the same brand.

Q22. Can I buy more than one Savings Voucher?

A. Yes, but this will be determined by the availability of a Savings Voucher.

Q23. How often are Savings Vouchers issued?

A. Savings Vouchers are issued on a month by month basis. They will be issued on the 1st day of each calendar month until they are sold out.

Q24. What guarantee is there I can buy a Savings Voucher each month?

A. There is no guarantee each member will be able to secure at least one Savings Voucher per month. However, no membership fee is charged until the member is successful in securing a Savings Voucher. Additionally, any member who is unsuccessful in securing a Savings Voucher in a calendar month, will be given priority access for the following month.

Due to the benefits of Savings Vouchers, the demand for Savings Vouchers are expected to exceed supply. To increase the chances of each member being able to buy at least one Savings Voucher per month, availability will be restricted to one Savings Voucher per member on the first day of each calendar month. The release of additional Savings Vouchers will be announced on the day or days proceeding the 1st day of the calendar month, and dependent on availability.

Q25. What are the restrictions to buying a Savings Voucher?

A. - A Savings Voucher can only be bought by one member of TLoG and only with a valid UMIN.
- One single Savings Voucher may be bought by any member of TLoG on the first day of each calendar month, and subject to availability.
-  Every member will have an equal chance to secure a Savings Voucher each month. In the event a member is not able to secure at least one Savings Voucher each calendar month, they will receive priority selection the following calendar month or months until they have secure at least one Savings Voucher.

Q26. Are there any restrictions on how I use my savings gained from using a Savings Voucher? 

A. No. Your money, your savings, your choice.

Q27. Will I save 16% - 18% off my entire grocery shop?

A. No. The 16% -18% savings are attached to each Savings Voucher for the relevant member area (Gold and Silver 16%, Bronze 18%).

Q28. Does a Savings Voucher impact a discount offered by the grocery or everyday needs retailer?

A. No. Any discounts offered by the grocery store or everyday needs retailers are offered and honored as per their Terms and Conditions.


Privacy

Q29.  Is my private and personal information save and secure?

A. Yes. At TLoG, we treat your private and personal information as we would expect our own private and personal information to be treated. We use cyber security systems and experts to ensure your details are safely secured.

Q30. How are my private and personal information used?

A. Any use of your private and personal information will be strictly limited to complying with our legal responsibilities and obligations. Additionally, by providing services you have subscribed to and as outlined in our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Terms & Conditions (T&C's).

Q31. Does TLoG use opt in or opt out services or subscriptions?

A. Every member chooses what services they wish to participate in. We use opt in services only.


General questions

Q32. What is the difference between savings and discounts? 

A. Discounts are the reduction in the price of an item. Generally, discounts are offered by a grocery store or everyday needs retailer to encourage the customer to buy an item from them. Discounts are commonly used by grocery stores and everyday retailers for their benefit, not necessarily the benefit of the customer.

Savings refers to the money the customer retains for their future use. This is why TLoG refers to what we do as providing our  members with real savings.

Q33. Is TLoG affiliated with grocery stores or everyday needs retailers? 

A. No. TLoG's purpose is to provide grocery affordability and savings to our members. Our focus is putting our members first.

Any future affiliation with any grocery store or everyday needs retailer will be clearly provided to our members in writing and in accordance with our Core Values.

Q34. Any final words TLoG would like to offer our members and potential members? 

A. The purpose of TLoG existence is to ensure we can improve grocery affordability for ALL Australians who choose to join us on this journey to reset the status quo. As our members are our priority and focus, we will continue to strive for value for money of our members and preserve our commitment to ensuring Australians human rights pertaining to access to quality and sustainable food are held in the highest regard.

We do not and will not seek funding from investors who's purpose is inconsistent with our Core Values and/or who intend to invest for their personal financial gain.

TLoG will strive to make decisions in the best interest of our members that are consistent with our Core Values, resulting in improved grocery affordability and real savings for our members.
